Title

What is your current role at Boutique and how long have you been here?

Senior Account Executive in Media – 3 Years 3 Months to be exact!

At what point in your career were you when you joined?

I was just finishing university when i started at Boutique, in fact I handed in my dissertation 2 weeks into the job, and got a 1st 😉  I was doing a degree in criminology at the time, but didn’t enjoy it, I found myself looking for something different and more exciting. I started getting involved with social media marketing and completed some work experience with an influencer, helping to build her brand and personal following. Through this, I found a love for marketing and being creative. Through my university’s My Future’ scheme, I stumbled across the Boutique Graduate day in which I got to interview for each department. A couple months later I found myself working in the media team, and I haven’t looked back since.

So, tell us a bit about your journey at Boutique so far?

My time here has absolutely flown by, and it’s honestly been such a great ride so far. I’ve made some amazing friends, and I love the people-first, family feel we have in the office.

One of my favourite parts of the job is building strong relationships, whether that’s with our clients or media owners. I love chatting with clients and understanding their brands and using those great media relationships I can pull a few favours to get clients the very best deals… sometimes even a freebie.

I’ve also learnt so much since starting here. I’ve been able to take part in loads of training, both in-house and externally, and it’s really helped me grow in confidence and develop my skills. I genuinely love working here and can’t wait to see what’s next.

What are your top 3 Boutique peaks so far?

  • At the end of 2024 I looked back across my accounts and calculated how much added value I had secured over the year for clients, seeing that figure (£160k – idk if we want to include the actual figure?) was amazing and gave me a great sense of achievement knowing that I had worked so hard to achieve the very best for our clients.
  • I love going to publisher events, they’re a great way to learn about the market and pick up new skills across different channels. My favourites so far are the NABs Fashion Show 2024, an amazing night for a brilliant cause, and the ITV showcases (always with a celeb guest!). Josie Gibson once hosted, and we even saw Dr John Cooper Clarke perform… plus, I’ll never say no to the free bar afterwards!
  • It’s always awesome to get out of the office and visit a client, especially when they give you a behind-the-scenes look! Origin Global invited us to check out their new in-house powder coating facility and seeing the whole process from start to finish was mind-blowing. They even had us use a hairdryer at the door to remove dust, because even the tiniest particles can ruin the finish. It was a great day and to see the client’s passion for their brand was amazing, I felt very inspired.

One of your WOW campaigns?

The campaign hasn’t launched just yet, but I am super excited about a new, creative outdoor campaign we’re planning. We will be partnering with a well-known brand (I can’t spill the beans just yet!), and whilst this activation has already hit across Europe, it is  something totally new for the UK and a first of its kind here! I cannot wait to share once the campaign is live… watch this space.
