RANG TAN RETURNS: GREENPEACE TAKE AIM AT MEAT INDUSTRY

Greenpeace has launched a new campaign, which will take on the meat industry by highlighting the link between eating meat and the climate crisis. Similar to their previous award winning Rang-tan campaign, the organisation is launching an animation to raise awareness about the deforestation which takes place as a result of the industrial meat industry. ‘There’s a Monster in my Kitchen’ is an animation that tells the story of a young boy who discovers an animal in his kitchen – Jag-wah the jaguar. Marketers from brands such as Tesco, Adidas and M&S, have joined forces to create Excerpts From Experts, a new book that aims to raise £100,000 for NHS Charities Together amid the pandemic. More than 200 marketers have contributed to the book, which covers a number of topics including advice for those just starting out in marketing and the role of marketing during a crisis. DROP OFF FOR DIGITAL ADS: DESPITE MORE TIME SPENT ONLINE

According to new figures from IAB UK, digital ad spend has fallen by 5% in the first part if 2020 despite consumers spending more time online during get pandemic. However overall, IAB UK’s analysis suggest that the digital advertising market is stable. Find out more here.

CHANNEL 4 + GOOGLE: LAUNCH LOCAL HIGH STREET SUPPORT CAMPAIGN

Channel 4  have announced a bespoke TV partnership with Google to support local high streets and small businesses. The TV ads star channel 4 presenters Mo Gilligan, Katie Piper and Jimmy Doherty, who showcase their favourite local businesses. Best Heating launched its first TV ad with Boutique this month, the ‘Transform Your Habitat’ ad showcases their range of luxury heating options. The campaign is live across Channel 4, and All4 + ITV Hub on Video On Demand, appearing alongside top programming such as Great British Bake Off and Ugly House To Lovely House With George Clarke.
