England’s Favourites

In the past couple of weeks, people have been on the edge of their seats, hoping to see England win the first few matches of the Euro’s! The Euros launched on the 14th June, bringing the country together to support England through the tournament. Paddy Power has also joined the excitement and created a new campaign starring Danny Dyer to bring a comedic take on England being the ‘peoples favourite’. The 60 second ad takes us through to different countries where they tell us what their favourite thing about England is… or is it? The comedy value has been a favourite with fans, even bringing up the Brexit departure! They have taken a new approach to advertising their betting company and it seems to be a hit so far… Come on England!

It’s Your Election

The BBC have created a new campaign to highlight the importance of voting in the upcoming general election. The TV advert shows the public completing their everyday tasks, suggesting it is their elections, using phrases such as – “It’s your bin”, “It’s your shopping”, “It’s your bill”. The short and snappy commentary creates a powerful message, implying that people have the power to use their vote to their advantage. The BBC has also made a statement, voicing how important it is for them to educate their community and bring coverage of the election where possible.

Out & About

The media team have been out and about recently, attending several events which have provided lots of insight around a number of channels and opportunities. The team, along with a few people from PR and some clients too, attended a Homes event held by Future Publishing. This gave lost of great insight about consumer behaviour when it comes to their passion – how they choose not to cut back on spends for their hobby, or how they enjoy seeing adverts from brands which align with their passion.  The team also joined ITV for their Showcase event, learning about the effectiveness of TV and how it can level up brands as well as the different opportunities brands can utilise to see a better ROI. This of course finished off with some trailers for upcoming TV shows soon to be aired across linear TV and ITVX, and we can ensure you, there are some good shows to come!
