Here it is our 2022 Christmas Card and the newest Basketball team in town – Boutique Ballers.
We are a cracking time creating the shot and full credit to our photographer Nick Eagle who was literally the balls!
We won’t actually ever play a game together instead Boutique Ballers will be donating their bespoke kits to the agency’s charity partners Last Night A DJ Saved My Life who will donate them to children involved with WAYout Arts in Sierra Leone, who don’t have accessibility to sportswear.
Boutique Ballers will continue to stay in the award-winning agencies hearts and minds via a second charity partnership launching early in 2023 with a local grassroots organisation for young people, Let’s Do More.
Introducing Let’s Do More
Let’s Do More, a charity in Beeston which uses sport as a means to engage, empower and raise the aspirations of young people living in some of the most deprived communities in Leeds.
Basketball is the organisation’s flagship sport that draws over 500 attendees from multiple Leeds suburbs. Boutique’s support will help Let’s Do More to sustain and grow its national league and community programmes across all age groups, giving opportunities to 100’s of young people in the city to travel the country and play sport.
Loran Lewis, Let’s Do More CIC, director adds: “We at Let’s Do More Basketball are incredibly appreciative of the support Boutique has provided us, it is excellent to be able to work with an organisation that understands the power of sport in our communities. It is important that we can collaborate with businesses close to where we are based, so I am pleased that a locally based organisation such as Boutique sees the value in what we do.”
Jonny Lee, founder of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation, commented: “We are extremely grateful for the kit donations from Boutique. As part of out Get Equipped project, we will take the sportswear across on our next trip to Sierra Leone in February for the children there who quite often are lucky to have just a few pieces of essential clothing.”
