Google is set to see an unprecedented drop in ad revenue in 2020 (5%) as the Covid impact hits hard. With Covid-19 the major factor behind it with big losses from the travel industry and many ecommerce businesses, there’s also more than meets the eye. Amazon have started to pull their search ads off Google, and this coincides with both Facebook and Amazon seeing uplifts in their ad spend, as businesses take that budget away from Google.
