Warburtons have become the talk of the town after their new TV advert aired a few weeks back. The advert premiered across ITV at the end of September, with Samuel L. Jackson playing the role of Robert Warburton himself. This is not the first time the brand has featured a celebrity amongst their adverts, George Clooney and Robert DeNiro have also been featured. The ad was filmed in Bolton, the home of Warburtons, where “Robert” is responding to social media comments, comparing the brand to its competitors. The ad has been favoured by many and has received a lot of press surrounding the feature of such a big star!

Beyond Techspectations

Currys have recently released a series of adverts across digital and TV, which takes a playful approach to show how staff members go the extra mile for their customers. The ad suggest that employees regularly brush up on their knowledge on the products they sell, even if this requires eating the manual… The video ads show staff members eating the product manuals, allowing them to ‘cram in as much product knowledge as possible’. “These ads allow us to playfully show just how far our colleagues are willing to go to make sure they are tuned in to today’s tech trends while underscoring how valuable this face-to-face service is to our customers”

Seriously Spooky

In the spirit of Halloween, American fast food brand Jack in The Box have released a short, spooky film to promote their returning Monster Tacos, and all new Angry Monster Tacos. The brand wanted to advertise around the holidays, but wanted it to feel authentic to the time of year. So, on Friday 13th

October they released ‘Feeding Time’, written by horror writers responsible for chills and thrills such as Saw and American Horror Story: 1984. The 7-minute video has been chopped up into small sections and will be played across TV and digital, including the brands YouTube channel. The advert also hides a treat for fans, with a code buried within the short film, allowing the first 1,000 people to receive two free Monster Tacos!

All things Amazon

Amazon have taken over the London Underground. With several ‘Tube Takeovers’, the brand has launched their new Out-of-Home campaign, featuring fresh food in the shape of a smile, to promote their own-brand grocery label. Already London is home to one of the few Amazon stores in the UK, which makes it the perfect area to advertirse. This type of campigan is a first for the brand, having not advertised this branch of their products before. The campaign ‘Food too, who Knew?’ focusses on top-up shops, on-the-go meals and evening meal solutions.
