Bodyform Ad With Bloody Sanitary Rakes In The Most Complaints Of 2022

A TV campaign by Bodyform has been the most complained ad of 2022. After launching a new campaign to promote their new ‘Goodnight Towels’, they received a total of 798 complaints. Viewers complained about the ad being “too graphic” and “unnecessary”, along with being “degrading and demeaning to women”. Although the ad received a lot of backlash, with people even suggesting the ad should not be shown during time when children are watching, the ASA determined that no advertisement rules had been broken, therefore the ad was not banned from airing. The ASA also commented that they did not find the ad to be demeaning or degrading to women and it was unlikely that it was cause any harm to children.

ITV To Raise Media Spend By 50% In 2023

ITV has recently launched ITV X in replacement of ITV Hub. This new platform will not only allow people to catch up on live TV, but also watch complete box sets and even ITV exclusives with a new episode released each week. This has been one of the biggest changes for ITV in recent years, with them spending over £45,000,000 on launching the campaign alone. Their CMO, Jane Stiller, suggested that they still have bigger plans surrounding the platform in 2023. They are looking to increase their paid media spend by 50%, aiming to reach their ambitious targets.

Pringles Launch Their Christmas 2022 Ad

Pringles is synonymous with celebratory events, form Christmas to New Year to watching the World Cup. Therefore, they creative a 20 second TV ad combining the celebration of both major events this winter, Christmas and football. This winter is one to remember, experiencing two of the biggest celebratory events in just one season. They are not only creating awareness, but they are advertising their new limited addition cans including pictures of snowmen, penguins, Santa and Elves. The ad also highlights the fact that pringles are the perfect snack for any occasion, especially sat watching the football!
