Asda have been crowned as the most effective Christmas ad of 2022. Their collaboration with Elf allowed for a heart-warming ad to be created, initiating a lot of additional PR around the campaign. Through the use of CGI, the creative agency was able to add clips of Buddy the Elf prancing arounds Asda working, with the ending scene of Buddy being offered the job. Not only was this effective and grabbed people’s attention, it created emotional responses, suggested by the use of facial recognition technology used to monitor peoples expressions when they viewed the ad.
