Asdaaaa… I know them!

Asda have been crowned as the most effective Christmas ad of 2022. Their collaboration with Elf allowed for a heart-warming ad to be created, initiating a lot of additional PR around the campaign. Through the use of CGI, the creative agency was able to add clips of Buddy the Elf prancing arounds Asda working, with the ending scene of Buddy being offered the job. Not only was this effective and grabbed people’s attention, it created emotional responses, suggested by the use of facial recognition technology used to monitor peoples expressions when they viewed the ad.

The Global Movement Of Vegnauary

New year’s resolutions are always top of mind at the beginning of a new year, and with the vegan movement being bigger than ever, companies have taken the opportunity to encourage people to take part in Veganuary. Veganuary.com have created their first ever cinema ad, where actor James Cromwell has voiced an animation urging people to take part in the 31 day event. The ad was produced by Kilogram Animation Studio, airing across more than 500 cinemas.

Note to Self: Don’t Forget…

The Electoral Commission has created an campaign which reminds members of the public to bring their photo ID to polling stations in order to vote. The ad comes shortly after the UK Government’s Elections Act came into place requiring voters to bring photo ID to polling stations. They have created a TV ad that will be accompanied by a number of other channels such as Digital-out-of-home, radio and print. Their Digital-out-of-home campaign was an image of a giant sticky note to remind people, hence the campaign name, ‘note to self’.
