Account Executive – PR


Boutique is an integrated media, digital marketing and PR agency based in Leeds. We’re channel agnostic, which means we provide a more strategic view of how clients should invest their marketing spend to meet their objectives. It rids us of silos, bias and enables us to provide transparent thinking and deliver the right solution to meet our agreed KPIs. Our PR team help clients build fame, creating authority and trust in brands via digital and traditional PR methods. We put brands where they need to be to via hard work and hustle, delivering links, coverage, and conversation about our client’s brands.


We aren’t looking for any specific education or experience for these roles, these are genuine opportunities for a foot in the door of a fast paced, exciting and ever-changing industry. We are looking for authentic and passionate hard workers who aren’t afraid to be themselves and are driven to develop a career in Marketing, a specific interest in PR would be very welcome. We will be providing you with comprehensive learning and development delivered by our in-house experts and underpinned by external training. You’ll be a people person who loves building relationships and is keen to get stuck in to building your career.

Some of the things you’ll do:

  • Create press materials (e.g. press releases, news stories, case studies etc.)
  • Pitch stories and feature ideas to journalists across print, broadcast and online media
  • Support client meetings
  • Create reactive news stories using client product/ data
  • Evaluate campaigns effectively using PR, Social Media and SEO tools
  • Respond to enquiries from journalists and identify newsjacking opportunities
  • Highlight key online influencers through a mix of channels
  • Maintain weekly and monthly reporting and evaluation documents
  • Brainstorm creative ideas

Some of the things you’ll bring:

  • Creative thinking
  • Relationship building skills
  • An ability to secure results independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of supporting digital PR accounts and campaigns is essential,
  • Experience of traditional and events would be beneficial
  • Experience of developing more junior team members and supporting line manager
  • Strong media relations skills
  • An understanding of the media across B2C and B2B publications
  • Excellent time management
  • Some knowledge of SEO and social media and how the channels integrate with PR
