Last month, Alicia Preston, our PR Account Executive had the incredible opportunity to attend the Beauty Show Live event in London on behalf of our professional haircare client Neäl & Wølf. In this blog, Alicia shares her insights, behind-the-scenes moments, and highlights from the event, offering a glimpse into the latest industry trends and networking with beauty editors. The venue held at the Business Design Centre in Islington was buzzing with excitement, from live demos with Larry King, global ambassador for Dyson and session stylist who regularly contributes to magazines such as Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair and Tatler, I got to see firsthand how Larry styles his client’s hair using the latest hair tools. The event also featured exciting product launches from UK Lash and insightful panel discussions with industry leaders, including journalist Nadine Baggott and beauty editors Katie Thomas and Shannon Lawlor from Marie Claire, among others. Amidst all the buzz, guests had the chance to enjoy complimentary mini treatments, allowing them to experience the latest beauty innovations firsthand before making a purchase. 

One of the highlights of the day was connecting with the beauty editors from Marie Claire, a leading publication known for its discerning taste and authority in the world of beauty. After discovering Katie Thomas and Shannon Lawlor’s makeup must-haves and insider secrets for shopping beauty products, I had the chance to personally meet them, an invaluable moment for Neäl & Wølf. During our conversation I introduced them to Neäl & Wølf’s luxurious Christmas collection – a festive range of gift sets perfect for achieving salon-quality hair care at home. The editors were intrigued by the collection’s sleek packaging and rich, nourishing formulas, all wrapped in a holiday-ready aesthetic. Being able to personally present the products ensured that Neäl & Wølf truly stood out amidst the hundreds of launches they receive at their offices weekly.

Attending The Beauty Show Live was not only an incredible opportunity to connect with beauty industry leaders and editors but also a valuable chance to see the impact of thoughtful branding and product presentation through the many vibrant stalls at the event. As the festive season approaches, I’m excited to watch Neäl & Wølf’s Christmas collection continue to gain momentum. I’m hopeful that my conversation with the Marie Claire beauty editors will lead to the collection being featured in their coveted annual beauty gift guide. Fingers crossed!
